Theresa:
So we’re back. We’re going to divert from our initial post of “Remembering the Future” and change it up today.
Michael:
Since there is no time in consciousness that subject can wait.
Theresa:
Since waiting is also an illusion.
Michael: Yes. And we were talking, in a prior session, about the phrase: Illumination to illusion.
Theresa:
That’s right. And it’s unusual isn’t it because generally people would think…or I would think… it’s ..one is perhaps caught up in the world of illusion, which might suggest fantasy, and the way out of that is through illumination, and you had a different approach to that.
Michael:
Yes: The common thinking even in these teachings of Ernest Holmes, Thomas Troward and enlightenment teachers is to go from illusion to illumination. I think that is the general thinking, trying to get from the darkness to the light…but the illusion… my awareness around that is that is very logical, that is very linear, that is very thought process, and while the journey of enlightenment is a journey of process, oftentimes the process becomes a trap, in that if we think logically from illusion to illumination that’s the logical forward order, but if we reverse that and go from illumination to illusion, reverse the order, flip it, go backwards, flip the mirror on that, we can come to the truth that in illusion is illumination. So we can go from illumination to illusion.
Theresa:
Sorry to interrupt…something just dropped in while you were talking about the linear thought pattern in that…and you know what just dropped in…have you heard of something called pattern interrupt?
Michael:
Yes. Love pattern interrupt and I loved your phrase “dropped in”. Because that’s what happens…it drops into the gap.
Theresa:
I know. I love the gap.
Michael: And the drop-in..that is how…people often say…how did you think that? You don’tthink it…it is when you stop thinking, the pause between the thought, there’s a gap, so something can drop in…so I love the experience you just had. The “drop-in” experience.
Theresa:
Yes, that could be a whole, big subject. The drop-in experience, right? We are not talking about in-laws are we?
Michael: No. But thoughts can sometimes be like in-laws…they can be very welcome or… they can be an intrusion. But that’s another subject.
Theresa:
We do like to digress, don’t we?
Michael:
We digress
Theresa:
Going back to what you were saying about illumination and illusion. You were really putting a different spin on it.
Michael:
Yes, and sometimes in working on how to communicate this – opening up to the allowing. I think what we can talk about…illumination to illusion…we can talk about it as a line. So right now, think about illumination to illusion as a line. So right now, think of a line in your mind. A line on a piece of paper. Now in your mind, see yourself drawing a circle on a piece of paper.
Theresa:
Okay.
Michael:
So now you have two images – a circle and a line.
Theresa:
Yes.
Michael:
Well, that is duality. That is a line and a circle. That would be illusion that the line and the circle are not the same. That’s illusion, that they’re two separate things.
Theresa:
Oh, this is getting a bit mind-bending Michael.
Michael:
We’re got to go a little further. We’ve got to go far out in order to come back. We’ve got to go far out in order to get the big picture. So…now, in your mind, draw the line into a circle…turn that line into a circle or draw a line with curves which becomes a circle. So you have a line, you have a circle and you have a line which became the circle, and that is illumination where the line and the circle becomes one. So the line that was separate and the circle that was separate, the line becomes the circle, and that is a little bit of a visual about the shift from illumination to illusion and illusion to illumination – they are all one and the same. The line and the circle were always the same.
Theresa:
What I’m hearing is it’s an inside job through the mind, through our inner world.
Michael:
Since we’re dealing a lot with words here or words are dealing with us, let’s shift the word: inside job, to it’s an in-sight job. So in-sight which you get from the I-sight of consciousness.
Theresa:
Whoo-hoo…this gets better and better. In-sight through the I-sight. Is that right?
Michael:
Yes. Insight to the I-sight and they talk about the third-eye. The “I” that sees beyond the senses. And that’s where insight comes from.
Theresa:
And on that note Michael, I think we are out of time again, these five minute clips just roar right by.
Michael:
Be well, stay conscious. Namaste.
Theresa:
Until next time.
